"Pirates & Princess" Party in the Park

We went to a "Pirates & Princess," party at the park this morning.

I let the kids paint my face.

They made rainbow kitty whiskers and had a blast doing it.

The checkout guy at the grocery store said it looked more like a cat attacked my face, than a cat's face, but whatever.

Yes, I went grocery shopping like this - and totally recommend it. It's a lot more fun that way. I think everything is more fun with a pirate hat on, actually.

Toby fell asleep on the ride back.

The pirate party tuckered him out.

The Jelly Bean Factory

Sunday at the Spraygrounds with Grandma Weeze and Toby's Uncle Nikolas

Oliver's brother joined us on Sunday, and, since it was almost 100 degrees out, my Mother-in-law, Oliver, Toby, and I went to the spraygrounds in Elk Grove. It's a great place for the kids to play and keep cool during the summer months. Toby and I went back again today.

The American River

Oliver's mom, Louise, came to visit Saturday, and we took her to the American River. Toby fell asleep in the car on the way there, so I just transfered him to the stroller, sprayed him down with sunscreen spray and everything, and he didn't wake up. It was a beautiful day - hot - but beautiful. It was about 95 + degrees, and it's feeling like Summer, for real, now.

The Sacramento River

Toby fell asleep in the stroller on our walk to the park Friday afternoon, so I took a bunch of pictures of the Sacramento River bike path right by our house.
