Dinner with the Dads

My dad is working today (Monday) in Sacramento, so he came in to town yesterday, and we all went out to dinner at a Thai place an hour north of Sacramento, where my dad is working.

The Aerospace Museum

My father-in-law came for the weekend and we went to the Star Trek exhibit at the Aerospace Museum. They don't let you take pictures at the Star Trek exhibit, which is sad, because that was the best part, but these are my pictures from the rest of the outing:

Nevada City, CA

I went to Nevada City this past weekend for a Deep Tissue Massage workshop.

The Mexican place next door framed one of their grease-stained cookie sheets because the stain reminded them of the Virgin of Guadalupe. Awesomeness! I had to take a picture. A man, who I assume is the owner, asked me what it looked like, and I said "The Virgin of Guadalupe, of course," and he loved that I wanted to take a picture of it. He said they were bringing it to the church the next day to get blessed.

I loved Nevada City. It is such a cute little town. Population 3,000 very friendly, very cool people and fantastic, historical, Victorian buildings. Adorable.

Breakfast with my mom and the in-laws in Santa Barbara

I still need to pick Oliver's brain about archiving the insane amount of photos I have stored on my computer, but in the meantime, I deleted a bunch of podcasts and, although I thought I had a bunch of space still on the hard drive, that seems to have done the trick.

Here are the rest of the pictures from our weekend in Santa Barbara:

Tide Pooling with Mr. T

So my electronic hoarding habits have caught up with me and my computer isn't letting me upload all the pictures I took this weekend to share with you - but, once Oliver gets home tonight, we'll hopefully figure out some way to fix the situation. I had breakfast with my in-laws and took a lot of pictures of them, and they are all still stuck on my camera. In the meantime, I have a bunch of other pictures of tide pools to "tide you over". ;o) Kind of an obscene amount of tide pool pictures, but we don't make it out to the beach very often so I went a little overboard.
