Sometimes, when the sun hits the fall foliage, a tree will look like it's on fire with orange light. This weekend, however, one of the buildings in our apartment complex actually was on fire. (It wasn't our building, and no one was hurt.)
Oliver says, "It's a good thing you made cookies recently, because we know our smoke detector works."
We went Trick or Treating with our friends and their daughter last night in the William Land Park area of Sacramento. It was great for Trick or Treating. It's an older neighborhood with a lot of beautiful houses that remind me a lot of Santa Barbara. There were a lot of fantastic decorations, and the neighbors were all really cool. It was fun.
