A scene from yesterday:
Me: Old McDonald had a farm...
Toby chiming in: B-O-B-O-I
And, did you know that, on that farm he had some:
* Trains (of course he did!)
* Trucks (I've never met a farmer who didn't)
* Owls
and
* Juice?
That's how we sing it at our house, at least. Yeah, sure, why not?
It usually goes, "Old McDonald had a farm" followed by a string of randomly generated letters, mostly vowels, provided by Toby.
Except for yesterday.
The mechanic was able to fix the car the same day we brought it in. And it turned out to be a lot less expensive than we thought it would be to fix - but we weren't able to pick it up until yesterday because Oliver had clients to see the whole day before and wasn't able to get away during business hours.
I picked up Oliver at work yesterday, and we went to the mechanics to pick up the car. Then, we caravaned over to McDonald's for a quick bite to eat before Oliver went back to work.
This was the scene yesterday:
Me: "Hey, Toby, come on - we're going to met your dad at McDonald's for lunch.
Toby: E-I-E-I-O
That's right folks, E-I-E-I-O!
