It's about an hour north of us. Oliver drove so I could knit in the car - and another family from the neighborhood met us up there. They have a boy that is around Toby's age who is also obsessed with trains, so we've been hanging out together at least once a week now. The boys really enjoyed playing in the mud, checking out the worms, and going for a tractor trailer ride. We got to harvest baby spring leaf lettuce and carrots as well. It was a little cold and windy today, but just gorgeous.

I also met up with an old friend of mine at the farm. She is living in San Francisco now. She's been posting on Facebook about wanting a spinning wheel for a while now, and I have one that I haven't used in over 2 years. I told her we'd be there today, and that the wheel could be hers if she wanted to come get it. She was so excited! It was awesome. It was great to see her and nice to know that the spinning wheel was going to a good loving home - and I might get some handspun yarn out of it sometime in the future.
