My friend Sarah

My friend Sarah, and her husband Brandon, were in town for a wedding this weekend. They stopped by our apartment and we all went to the park. Sarah, Brandon, Toby, and Oliver too. He didn't have any appointments Friday afternoon, so he came home early.

I was so excited to see them that I talked their ears off, and didn't take a single photo.

So I thought I'd post these instead:

It was so good to see her, but also a little bittersweet - it reminded me how much I have really missed her!

It was a wonderful, and somewhat surreal, experience to get to see my old childhood friend chase my son around the park. We were only about year older than Toby when we met. It makes me wonder if Toby will still be friends with the boys that he is meeting now, in 30 + years time, and if he'll get to see them chase his future children around the park. I think that would be really wonderful.
